New Collaboration with WV Sorcerer Productions to Publish Yi Music Record

We are thrilled to announce that Sea and See Cultural Foundation has established a new collaboration with WV Sorcerer Productions.

As part of this collaboration, we are proud to reveal plans to publish a record featuring the traditional music of the Yi people later this year. The record will be produced by the renowned Ribu, who has already gained acclaim for his field recordings of the kouxian (口弦琴), a traditional Yi mouth harp.

Ribu's expertise and dedication to preserving the authentic sounds of Yi music make him the perfect producer for this project. His previous work with field recordings has been instrumental in bringing the unique sounds of the kouxian to a wider audience, and we are confident that this new record will further enhance the appreciation of Yi music.

This project underscores our commitment to empowering ethnic musicians and scholars by providing them with the platform and resources to share their work with the world. We believe that through collaborations like this, we can continue to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural heritages within Asia.
