Each year the See and Sea Organisation participate in several Burma liveaboard trips to the Mergui Archipelago and the Burma Banks. If you are passionate about scuba diving and exploring new places, these trips encourage an more active role in our campaigns to help the Moken in Burma.

The 2012 See & Sea Appeal 2 was part of a Culture and Conservation trip to Burma hosted by a boutique Southeast Asia tour company, Journeys Within along with Dr Andrea Marshall’s Ray of Hope Expeditions, on board the SY Diva Andaman.

Since our very first liveaboard trips to Mergui Archipelago, See & Sea have conducted beach clean-ups as a standard activity on the schedule. Discarded fish traps, fish nets, plastic bags, plastic cigaretter lighters, rubber and polystyrene amongst other things is washed ashore on all the uninhabited islands and pose a great threat to wildlife. With more liveaboard trips to Burma planned for next season we will again be actively promoting beach clean-ups.
